The Canton of Skorragarðr
is a local chapter of the Society for
Creative Anachronism (SCA), a canton (subsidiary group) of the
Barony of Namron, and falls within the Northern Region of the Kingdom of Ansteorra.
The SCA is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to learning
more about the Middle Ages through reenactment. There are SCA chapters
worldwide and they hold regular feasts, tournaments, balls and battles.
The Kingdom of Ansteorra includes all of Oklahoma and most of Texas
(except El Paso). The Canton of Skorragarðr
encompasses Shawnee, Oklahoma and the surrounding areas.
